About Us

Ripon Bike Park project is a community partnership project that aims to raise funds and develop a new bike park facility within the City of Ripon for youngsters. It is part of the local authority 'My Neighbourhood' project, aimed at developing the area of Ripon for the benefit of the community.

The bike park project team is made up of local police officers, local councillors, businesses - but most importantly, young people and their community.

It will hopefully replace a very old and tired looking facility, which is under-sized and falling apart at the seams due to age.

Following our last meeting in early March 2013 the project group formed a new commitee as follows:

Chair - Frances Fraser (parent)

Vice Chair - Clare Thorpe (parent)

Secretary - Fiona Milner (parent)

Joint Treasurers - Garry Mallish and Phil Moorhouse (parents)

Youth Representatives -Morgan Fraser, Thomas Milner, Ben Thorpe and Chris Warner

Park Design and Facebook Team - Ben Moorhouse, Freddie Godden and Jack Hepworth

There are many more positions to be filled, if you think you can help then please contact us here.

Together we can make sure that the Ripon Bike Park dream becomes a reality.

History of project

This project started from conversations between local youngsters and the Ripon Police, who wanted to support youngsters in developing facilities for them to ride and skate locally. It was taken by the police to partners in the local authority and the community, and has grown from there.
